My name is Sophia, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Armenia. For the past six months, I've been a volunteer. ESC at InformaGiovani in Palermo, Sicily.
During my project, I worked in the office doing administrative tasks, participated in youth exchanges and group volunteering activities, helped with evaluations and infodays, and took part in the daily routine of InformaGiovaniOne of the most special parts of my volunteer experience was leading a volunteer camp at the Waldorf School.

Ever since I was a teenager, I dreamed of volunteering abroad. When I was sixteen, I saw a movie where the main character volunteered at a school, doing something meaningful and changing people's lives. That story touched me deeply and inspired me to do the same, to step out of my comfort zone, contribute to society, and bring about positive change.
Over the years, I've participated in various volunteer projects in Armenia, but I've always wanted to experience volunteering abroad. I finally decided to follow that dream when, thanks to a friend, I discovered this opportunity with InformaGiovani, and now I'm living my dream in Palermo, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Sicily is full of sun, sea, joy, and delicious food, and it has given me the opportunity to explore new places, travel alone, and experience the beauty of Italy in a way I never imagined.

One of the best parts of this experience was meeting wonderful people from all over the world. Volunteers, young people, and colleagues brought diversity, inspiration, and joy.
In my life. Every moment with them was unforgettable, full of learning, friendship, and fun.
Living with roommates for the first time was incredible. They became my family, my support system, my brothers and sisters. We shared so many moments together, laughed, supported each other, and created memories that I will cherish forever.
The Eurobursar InformaGiovani deserves infinite gratitude. My time at InformaGiovani It changed my life. They are more than colleagues; they are family, mentors, friends, and guides. The support, encouragement, and care I've received from each of them has been indescribable. I truly couldn't have asked for a more generous, caring, and supportive team. I honestly can't describe how grateful I am to them. They believed in me, guided me, supported me every step of the way, celebrated every success with me, and have become my pillars of strength. Every day spent with them has reminded me how lucky I am to be part of this experience.

Volunteering here means helping others, learning, growing, building lifelong friendships, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. This volunteering journey taught me so much about teamwork, leadership, responsibility, intercultural communication, and personal growth. It was a time filled with colorful and unforgettable moments, inspiring challenges, and incredible experiences that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
To anyone thinking of volunteering: do it. Be open, be brave, and take the leap. I will always be deeply grateful to every person I met in Sicily and to God for giving me this opportunity, for all the experiences, lessons, and memories I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The experience of living in Sicily, especially with InformaGiovani, it will change your life in the most beautiful way possible. It was my dream come true, and it can be yours too.
