Applications are open for internships promoted by theEuropean Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS), open to young graduates who will be able to carry out activities related to security, defense, and EU policies. The training placements will last 10 months, starting September 16, 2026, and will be held in Brussels and Paris.

  • Asia/China global.
  • Information and digital technologies.
  • European Defence Policy (Brussels Liaison Office).
  • Indo-Pacific (Brussels Liaison Office).
  • Middle East and North Africa.
  • Russia and its Eastern Neighborhood.
  • Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Transnational security (the concept includes, among others, managing hybrid threats, disinformation, electoral interference, covert military and other actions, and strengthening resilience).
  • EUISS Management Office (assists the Management Team in various research, coordination and dissemination activities).

Citizens of an EU Member State who have a master's degree in political science, international relations, economics, or a related field are eligible to apply for internships. Knowledge of English and at least one other EU language is also required.

Interns will receive a monthly allowance of €1.798,96 per month for activities at the Paris office; €1.597,95 per month for activities at the Brussels office. The application deadline is 31 May 2026.
