Gender-Based Violence and Youth Spaces. Our Campaigns

Working with young people and within Civil Society Organizations means building communities based on mutual respect.
Unfortunately, however, we have detected, even within the same organizations, a sensitivity that is not always adequate on the issue of respect for gender identity and violence prevention. Violence can be more than just physical; it can often manifest itself through inappropriate comments or sexist jokes, which, if ignored, compromise collective well-being. Therefore, with our European Network IGNet, we have initiated a process of reflection and action to develop guidelines and training activities to prevent and manage these situations.

Our goal is not to create alarm, but to push for a collective reflectionRecognizing the problem is the first step towards safer environments. Therefore, we need your feedback through an anonymous survey of staff, volunteers, and participants. The information collected will help us develop concrete tools to make our spaces safer. inclusive e respectful for everyone. It's a shared step toward real change, reaffirming that respect is the foundation of all community action.

Participation requires only 10 15-minute of your time. The answers are completely anonymous.
Only if you want,
At the end you can leave a contact to receive updates on our journey and information on the activities.

Your experience matters! Take the Youth Spaces survey.
Are you between 17 and 25 years old? Or are you a youth worker? Your voice is crucial! Share your experiences in youth spaces, both physical and digital. You can do it anonymously, and it only takes a few minutes.

This survey is part of a European campaign to promote European Charter for Youth Spaces, which aims to enhance and strengthen all the places where young people build communities and actively participate, recognizing their great social value.

Your contribution will help to raise awareness of the needs and expectations of young people and to improve spaces for meeting and discussion.

Thank you for your time. Your responses will be invaluable in helping us develop proposals for building more inclusive and dynamic youth spaces.

WARNINGFor this survey, we consider "Youth Spaces" to be all places—physical or digital—where young people meet regularly, share interests, and build a community. This includes both structured spaces (such as youth centers or associations) and informal spaces where collective activities take place (such as a venue where people play music together, a group that meets in a public square, or an online community where they can share projects).

However, we do not consider them simple places of transit or pure individual consumption (like a gym where everyone works out on their own, or a chat room used only to exchange information about homework).
